District Representative:  John Lewis, Fort Branch Volunteer Fire Department  Tel:  812-385-6044

John Lewis is not new to the Indiana Fire Instructors as you may already know.  He has been Instructor at IFIA Fire Schools for many years.  John was commissioned as a 2nd Lt., at the age of 20 and was sent to Vietnam less than a year later.  He was awarded the Bronze Star and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with the Silver Star.  In 1973, 2 years after leaving the military, John joined the Fort Branch Fire Department.    John has served in the capacity of   Chief and Assistant Chief and has several certifications.  John has also received the Governor's Award in 2004.  In 2006 John was named Gibson County Representative to Homeland Security District 10 Training Council.  John has been responsible for other peoples lives for a long time as well as training.  He also founded the Gibson County Fire Chiefs Association in 1985 and well as developed the Rural Water Supply Course in which many of you may have taken.
