FF-06 Fire Behavior in a Single Family Occupancy 6 Hours $40.00 This course uses
results from test burns of commonly-found items in simulated
single-family occupancies to provide firefighters with skills for
understanding fire behavior. Through scientific and engineering studies,
observation and analysis of videotaped test fires and burn data,
participants will learn the value, application, and limitations of fire
testing and test methods, instruments and equipment. The course presents
scenarios and case studies to enable firefighters to assess and devise
fire suppression and protection strategies based on their ability to
apply data from test burns. Instructor: Joe Squier Joe began his fire service career as a volunteer firefighter 16 years ago, where he served as Assistant Chief and Training Officer. He spent eight years with the Indiana State Police. He entered the career fire service with the New Albany Fire Department in 2007.
