IST-02 Instructor II/III 24 Hours $150.00 Since training is an essential factor in efficient firefighting and is dependent upon well prepared instructors, fire service instructor training becomes a very important responsibility of the fire department. The material contained in this course provides the information called for by the Board of Personnel Standards and education for Instructor. It also meets NFPA Standard 1041 for Fire Instructor II & III. This course requires the student to do a homework project in the same manner as the National Fire Academy courses. The project will consist of a video showing the student's instructional techniques and corresponding paperwork. Note: During the state test it is possible that questions will be pulled from the Instructor I test bank. It is the students responsibility to be knowledgeable in the prerequisite (s) subject. The state written test will be given at the end of this course. Prerequisites: Instructor 1 and have taught, documented and reported to the board, thirty (30) hours of instruction. You must meet the prerequisites to attend this course. No refunds will be given. IDHS will no longer hold certificates until you obtain the prerequisite. FD in Porter County as well as a Lieutenant with Cass-Clinton FD in LaPorte County. He has been in the fire service for 18 years and also serves on the Porter County Technical Rescue and incident Management Support Teams.
