FF-03 Introduction to the Fire Service  6 Hours   $45.00

This class will go over the history of the fire service, why the fire service exists and what it does, the organization of the fire service and terminologies used.  Discussed will be minimum requirements and current issues.  This class is designed for the "newbee" and what they don't learn when signed up to protect our communities.

Instructor:  Rick Decorie 

Rick is the training officer for the Westville Area Fire Protection district in east central Illinois. Rick is retired from the Danville (IL) Fire Department as a lieutenant.  Rick has been in the fire service for over 24 years and holds numerous fire service certifications along with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Service Management from Southern Illinois University.  Rick served as a member of the Fire Science program at the Danville Area Community College in Danville, IL.  Rick is a member of the International Society of Fire Service Instructors, Illinois Society of Fire Service Instructors and the Fire Department Training Network.
