RS-01 Rapid Intervention for Today's Fire Service 12 Hours $85.00 The rapid intervention team concept involves many terms: FAST (Firefighter Assist and Search Team), IRT (Immediate Response Team), RAT (Rescue Assist Team), FRAT (Firefighter Rescue Assist Team), RDU (Rapid Deployment Team), FAT (Firefighter Assist Team) and RIT (Rapid Intervention Team). No matter what they are called, Rapid Intervention Teams must be an essential part of any fire ground operation. Should something go wrong, this team of firefighters will have the primary responsibility of searching for, locating, and removing a down or trapped firefighter. The purpose of this course will be to teach techniques that are being used in today's fire service to deploy a Rapid Intervention Team and to build on skills that have already been received from previous classes. Requirements: PPE/SCBA Instructor: Sean Canto
