RS-03  Rope Rescue Operations      24 hours    $150.00

Indiana State certification class.  This high paced class builds off of rope rescue awareness.  It offers students the ability to learn knots, rope systems, proper anchors, and belay operations.  Class includes presentation as well as hands on training.  Students should come prepared with gloves, safety glasses, and helmet (structure firefighting helmet is ok).  Students are encouraged to bring any rope, rope gear, and equipment they have.  We can assist with operating the equipment that you are familiar with or will be using after returning to your department. This class meets NFPA 1670 standard on operations & training for technical rescue incidents. Students should bring a harness if they have one. All students will be given a rope rescue operations hand out booklet.

Instructor:  Landen Bartley

Landen has been in the fire service for ten years, currently as the Fire Chief for the Russiaville Volunteer Fire Department.  He is also a career firefighter for the City of Kokomo.  Landen is a member of the Indiana Fire Instructors Association, Instructor II/III and technician level in various disciplines.  Landen says it is a privilege being a firefighter and he enjoys sharing and receiving knowledge with fellow firefighters.
