Eddie became a volunteer firefighter in 1991 and soon became a career firefighter in 1995, where he is currently serving as Deputy Chief/Training Coordinator of Vincennes Township Fire Department since 1999.  Eddies role  within the Indiana Fire Instructors Association began as an active member in 1993.  His commitment to the IFIA led him to become the South Area Firefighter Representative in 2003.   Eddie was soon nominated as Vice President of the IFIA, where he continues to serve in that capacity giving a great deal of his time to fire training and the goals of the IFIA.  Eddie is also a member of the Policy Sub-Committee for Project Hoosier Safety and is also part of the Vincennes University Faculty as an Adjunct Instructor for the Fire Science Program.
